And no - I don’t have to cry. I work on my own, making my own money - and that as ethically as humanly possible. And I know what I’m talking; I’m doing all this despite being partially physically disabled (caused by an accident) and living with chronic illness. I also will never stop fighting oppressive & exploitative systems and their ideologies - as well as their blind followers. Gosh, I even do political and social work for free on the side since I was freaking 15. What are you doing?? Now you can go cry, if you need it. I’ll laugh instead.

It takes two to make a baby, yet mothers shoulder all the risks and responsibilities. Men have minimal to non-existent burdens.

It's all about control. Patriarchy never got abolished - we only live in a slightly reformed version of it. These men see us as a mere resource. The more we shake their oppression and exploitation off (or even just "dare" to try), the more severe backlash we face. Every single time. Women were the first and are the last colony. Male sexual colonialism. That's what this is.

Never forget that - depending on where you live - we're only in around the second generation of women who were born into a state of full personhood before the law. Many of us were still born into the state of a second class citizen. What happens there in the US - and worldwide - is a direct war on women. They're bringing androcratic religious doctrine into secular legislation and jurisdiction.

It's also notable that women who still have - or even just are getting accused of - an abortion (or even just the attempt) are getting persecuted and end as registered felons for that. Even women having miscarriages are getting denunciated as them having "illegal abortions"; police registers and surveils pregnant women and uses digital data - warrantless(!) - to control and persecute them.

Being a registered felon can and will strip them of many rights. One of which is the ability to vote and therefore to participate in the system that governs and controls their very lives. So easy to just simply accuse women and to then cut them off of even that little slice of power they had. There exist even full-on denunciation-hotlines where "people" can rat on women whom they are suspicious of being possibly pregnant....

This has system.

Just like mentioned in the OOP - the unborn are not the real concern of these people. That's just a pawn. It's all about to find ways to silence and control, to posess, to use.

And it will not be the end. Their system is extremely fragile and shaky by now, so they will go to extreme lenghts to be able to further uphold it. Like they always did.

….. which in turn - again - further widens the class division, making such absolutely substantial basic needs (and rights!) like education, health and housing almost unattainable for anybody that doesn’t came in this world with already secure generational wealth to their name.

And with these privileges and resources comes influence and power, power over others. More and more. It’s almost like we never overcame the feudal systems and class hierarchies of the past - it looks more like we live only in a slightly reformed, “modernized” form of it; the outwards look and the names may have changed, but the core “values”, the mechanics and techniques of it are still the same. Old masters under new names. At least in my book.
